My Friend Connor

My friend Connor is the head boy of Kaitao middle school, he is a swimmer for New- Zealand but he is originally from America, North Carolina. He currently belongs to the Arawai swim club I only do occasional swimming every Friday. He also is very good at badminton I think he has represented NZ for that to. He is generally a very sporty person and shows that of at school frequently.

An Acrostic Poem

Silver beaming rays of light
Under it's enchanting spell
Never ending joy it gives
Should I ever leave
Heat comes down warming all

Speech Finals

I was so amazed when I got told that I would speak my speech in the school finals I had spoke it once and I still got through! The day had come! Me Nina, and a few others went down in Mrs. Schnell's car the rest of the year 8's had to walk (hahaha). We arrived at the Selwyn hall there were plants on the stage it all looked really quite good, there were seats on the stage for the finalists so we took our places. Celene and Connor the year 8 hosts came up infront of all the other year 8's and some of the selwyn students to introduce us. I was up 5th I was busy telling myself "breathe breathe" I was up there (If you were there you wouldn't have even noticed) shaking like a bowl of jelly! The judges went to deliberate. They came back to present the awards they started with 3rd place, it wasn't me I thought aw I'm definitely not getting 2nd or no way 1st. They announced "2nd place goes to...Eleanor Covell I just about jumped out of my skin I was so amazed!!! So I went back to school beaming even though I didn't get 1st I was still so happy.

Sick Eleanor

I was away for almost two weeks! I'd been sick with shingles (a different type of chicken pocks) poor me!!!!! They hurt sooo much, they come up in huge blistery welts and then the blisters burst and clear fluid comes trickling down. My shingles were on my face around my eye. To treat it I had to take these MASSIVE tablets they were 800 mg of anti viral. To top things up I had some shingles paint it was very liquid, it contained ground aspirin mixed with chloroform (I sleept very soundly after it was applied hahahahahahaha)

Im Eleanor im in the Accelerate academy the higher learning space. My hobbies are singing, swimming, txting and talking with my mates.

At school Im a school leader and house captain. there are the ups and downs of having these resposibilitys like im liked by the teachers but when you have heaps of work to finish you can't because your to buisy around the school.
